Since this seems to be gripe day, allow me to toss one more on the pile.
:-) I note that it would appear that the Linux and Mac versions of the K3 utility are becoming third class citizens. The Windows version has been updated as of January 8 but the Linux and Mac versions still languish at Sept 2, 2010 releases. I know of at least one important bug that breaks the macro assignments in the "stable" Linux K3 utility that was fixed by a test release sent to me by the author. This fix still has not been released generally. What is the issue? Is it time? Does the author need help? Is there a reason the development project isn't open so those of us unafraid of testing development software could help and provide valuable feedback and code fixes? Count me as a bit frustrated that the utility for my chosen OS is now over six months old. 73, de Nate >> -- "The optimist proclaims that we live in the best of all possible worlds. Taken in the humor intended, Bill. :-) For the record, I received a private reply from David, W4SMT, who is the author in question. Understandably, he has had real life stand in the way of coding and other pursuits. I know how that happens. 73, de Nate >> -- "The optimist proclaims that we live in the best of all possible worlds. I have had to step back on a project before, only to see others pick it up with vigor in my absence. Being a Linux kernel hacker myself, I have some strong opinions about how software should be done. :) Free all the bits!!! --Vernon N7OH > 73, de Nate >> > > -- > > "The optimist proclaims that we live in the best of all > possible worlds.
