I would like to remote my K3 using the Remoterig devices, controlling
the K3 from a PC rather than from a K3/0. I would anticipate using HRD for the radio control and I need to use N1MM Logger as my contest logger. 1. Is this combination possible? Are any of you doing this now? 2. Is the solution to running HRD AND N1MM Logger at the same time (both need the comm port attached to the K3) the use of N8LP's software "LP Bridge" that allows two programs to share a comm port? I have not purchased the Remoterig devices yet because I really want to be able to both control the K3 remotely (with a PC) AND run a contest logger at the same time. Thanks for your help. 73 de Steve ZP9EH/W9CPI ______________________________________________________________ Elecraft mailing list Home: http://mailman.qth.net/mailman/listinfo/elecraft Help: http://mailman.qth.net/mmfaq.htm Post: mailto:[hidden email] This list hosted by: http://www.qsl.net Please help support this email list: http://www.qsl.net/donate.html |
Hello Steve,
Yes it is possible to control the remote K3 with a PC only. This particular setup requires special configuration on the RemoteRig devices as it is not the same type of setup as the remote K3 to control (K3/100 or K3/0) Twin mode. I will send a PDF that shows the required configuration for remote K3 to control PC in another email. -- 73, Brandon Hansen, KG6YPI 831-763-4211 (x168) K3-Remote Support Elecraft On 6/1/2012 10:17 AM, Steve Haines wrote: > I would like to remote my K3 using the Remoterig devices, controlling > the K3 from a PC rather than from a K3/0.
