Long in the tooth K3

 My oldest k3, serial # in 200s has developed a quirk in key pad that #s 4 , 8 , and 9 no longer register when mashed.
 Is this a simple fix regarding panel cabling seating?  Or, is it more complex?
Any hints welcome.
