Loop Rx Antennas

Julius Fazekas n2wn
Check this site out: http://www.qsl.net/kc2tx/

You can build or buy and the antenna has a good track
record with low banders. I see there was another post
about using heliax instead of coax. From a mechanical
perspective (and if you have access to some heliax) I
would definitely go with it.

Another loop that is larger and an good performer is
the K9AY, which is also easy to build. You can get
balun cores from Elecraft and wind your own
transformers.

The rage these days for Rx antennas are short phased
verticals...

Cheers,
Julius
