Lower Header Kit Prices & What's Coming Next

Gary Hvizdak
We have lowered our un-module header kit prices:
o   by $3.50 (for all of our rev. D based kits)
o   by an average of $0.625 (for our rev. G based kits)

If you ordered since our rev. G pre-production sale, then Ken will
automatically credit you the difference

Also, Ken will be offering a $2 rebate for customers who purchased
rev. D board products at our original (pre-sale) prices, and who now
wish to upgrade to rev. G.  The purpose of this discount is to average
our NRE (Non-Recurring Engineering) costs, which were significantly
greater for rev. D than for rev. G.  I'll be updating our "Ordering"
page this weekend to describe how this rebate will be applied.

                             --- - - - ---

With our rev. G board now in production, I'll be turning my attention
back to our documentation, and to fixing our website so it displays
properly for Mozilla Firefox users.  When the website revision is done,
it promises to display better with Firefox than with Internet Explorer!

                             --- - - - ---

One task that's particularly high on my "To Do" list is a major
revision of our Companion Guide.  The next release will:

o   incorporate a suggestion from G3XYS that does away with the task
of annotating the K2 assembly instructions.  Instead the Companion
Guide will have the assembly instructions.  The annotations to the
K2 assembly manual will be limited to including references back to
    the Companion Guide.

o   include lots of background information provided by W3FPR regarding
the VCO circuit change that's required for 60 meter operation, and
giving the builder perhaps as many as three choices as to when to
    change this circuit.
