Hi Fred
I have a MFJ-1788 loop. I have wonderful results with it but
if the temperature is changing such as the sun shining on it then
it drifts and the SWR comes up to the point it will trip out the
SWR protection on the radio. You need the best version of
remote control and that does work fine. I run less than full
power and touch up the remote tuner if the environment causes
a change in temperature. I use the directional null for noise
reduction and that does work. That is the main reason I use
the loop as I also have a CL-33 up 22 ft, a G5RV and a
AV-18HT vertical. I am in a city and noise is a problem
There are times I can copy a station on the loop and not on
the rest of the antennas. I also wanted the antenna in case I
have to move to a location where I have to use a stealth
antenna. I have used it enough to know it will work and be
much better than no antenna for a stealth location. I also find
it is great as far as preventing TVI which is another plus for
stealth operation.

Has anyone tried, or using, a MFJ-1782 HF LOOP
Antenna - or homebrew of this?
Some sites claim good HF success with this
small circular loop HF antenna. I'm not a
fan of MFJ's quality, by a long shot - but owners
claim - with care, it works pretty well.
What do you think? Is this a small stealth antenna
that would work?
