I ordered and received a MH4 for my K2. The instructions show the schematic of mic wires at J1 and enclosed are little jumpers. Where is J1 and how does a guy get to it?

Paul,
J1 is on the back of the Front Panel board. The connections of that Microphone Configuration Header for various microphones are indicated in the charts toward the end of the KSB2 manual. If you have used an Elecraft microphone before, you may already have those jumpers and the 5.6k bias resistor soldered on the back of the microphone jack installed already. You can remove the left side panel and peer in to see if the jumpers and resistor are already in place. If you just bought this K2 and do not know how to remove the Front Panel, refer to the article at http://www.qsl.net/wy3a/Replace_K2_Headphone_Jack.htm - go only as far as necessary to remove the front panel. 73, Don W3FPR On 8/4/2018 3:46 PM, Paul Smith wrote: > I ordered and received a MH4 for my K2.
