Is it possible to program a button in front to be able to quickly switch between line input (using Signalink USB) and front panel mike input? This would be an advantage for being able to talk and send SSTV pictures.

Yes, follow the programming instructions and it will work.
I set the XIT button to the MIC SEL option and set RIT to SPKRS option and it will toggle speakers off and on, and that will remind you that XIT changes the mic.
