More about copying code ...

Ken G Kopp
If one is "good" at code it's like knowing a second language.  Copying in a
"pileup" is like following a particular conversation in a room full of
chattering people.

Many do better ... are faster ... at copying using longhand, finding it's
faster than printing, but this is more related to writing / printing skills
that have nothing to do with code copying skill.

FWIW ...

Trivia:  There are 50+ "Kopp" hams.

KPA1500 Odd Happening

Ronnie Hull
just turned on my KPA1500 to check into a Ten Ten International net, and
when I put it in Operate Mode I had a Fault light, and the displayed showed
that the HV ( 50V ) was only 9.6volts.  I tried turning off the Amp and the
Power supply several times to no avail. Finally I just unplugged the power
supply for a few minutes. Plugged it back in and fired the ps and amp back
up and all was normal. WHEW.. glad for that but.. WHY did it do this?

thanks and God bless

Sounds like a power glitch.  I’ve seen that with my KPA500.   My amp is powered from a 240v line w/neutral.  As to why unplugging was necessary, I can only speculate primary leakage current or line input filter, which is in the microamp range, was a contributing factor.
