New K1 main tuning knob

Rick Dettinger-2
Just when you thought tuning knob threads were over for good, here is
another.  This time for my K1.  I like large knobs.  My friend had a HRO 500
with a tuning knob the size of a kids wagon wheel.  Just right.  The K1 knob
is 1.25 in. in diameter.  My Sierra knob is 1.50 in. in diameter.  It looked
like there was room for the larger knob on the K1, so I removed it from my
Ten Tec 1340.  (I have a National Velvet knob on my Sierra, I said I like
large knobs.)    Perfect fit.  I was thinking maybe it would interfere with
the clear plastic tuning indicator cover but it just cleared that and
everything else.  The knob is the same except for the larger diameter.  I
had recently changed to 150 khz tuning range  (178 khz actual) and the new
knob gives finer control.  Know I have a small knob on the Ten Tec 1340 but
it only has a 35 khz tuning range, so no matter.
