My first QSO with a KX3

N6XI is one of the field testers and I heard him calling CQ on 40 meters.  I answered his CQ with my KX1 at 3 watts.  It was a short QSO but I do note that the quality of his signal was very good - pure tone. This was nearly 1000 miles per watt  SC to CA and the first KX3 in the log book.  Propagation must have been good since we gave each other very good signal report.
