N-gen

K1DWZ
I built the N-gen and the noise does not increase like it is supposed to.  I
re-heated the joints, checked for proper part placements but it still doesn't
work properly--- until I hold my finger across R1 and R5 at the same time,
then the noise increases.  Anyone else run into this problem ?  And if so what
corrected it.

RE: N-gen

Ken,

Check the position of the orientation dot on U1 - it should be pointing
toward the center of the board.  If you got it in backwards, it will not
work.  I doubt if you can desolder it without damage, but you can clip the
leads and install a new one in.

Check the schematic, the circuit is straightforward, and there is little
that can go wrong other than the orientation of the diodes and the MMIC.
