I operated from my mountain cabin at 7000 feet near Estes Park, CO. Conditions were good here. Another fun sprint. Thanks for organizing it. 73, Dick, Greeley, CO --------- K3ESE: Great sprint, as always. K2 xcvr at 5W to a 302' horizontal loop at 50' and an 88' EDZ at 45'. Due to parenting and fatigue, only managed to work about 2 hours this time. de Lloyd, Reisterstown, MD --------- K0ZK: Rig: Elecraft K2 s/n 692, 5 Watts. Antenna: 33' Ground Plane made of 3" irrigation tubing. Homebrew antenna coupler with MIL. rotary inductor. Schurr Einbau Wabbler paddle. Homebrew memory keyer. Autec QF1A audio filter. I worked a few Europeans, minutes after the QRP contest ended. Band conditions were getting good to Europe at that time. In the last 30 minutes I picked up WA and OR. All this on 40 Metres! 72 de Arn, Lebanon, ME --------- K4BAI: Club Name: South East Contest Club COMMERCIAL EQUIPMENT. FT1000MP, 5 watts output, TH6DXX, zepp, dipole, inverted vee. Contest may run too long or maybe should start an hour earlier. Was unable to find a new QSO after 0244Z until after 0300Z, so went QRT. Ealier start time would give us more short skip. Long skip makes QRP QSOs pretty difficult. de John, Columbus, GA ---------- KE0G: QRP - 5 watts, CW Elecraft K-1 80 M quadrant up 50' fed with Matchbox tuner de Dan, Rochester, MN ---------- AB1AV: Power : 5 Watts Rig: Homebrew xcvr (ATS-3) Thanks for running this contest! de Bill, Hollis, NH -------- KW4JS: Rig Elecraft K2 running 500 mW into a 135 ft doublet up at 60 ft. Thank to all who pulled me through the qrn and qrm. de John, Kingston, TN ----------- W2JEK: Rig: Oak Hills OHR-500 at 900MW. Antennas: Ground Plane on the roof for 20M, dipole for 40 and end fed Hertz on 80. 72/73 Don, River Edge, NJ ----------- W5ACM: Rig = Elecraft KX-1 (kit), Power = 3W One hundred miles makes all the difference! Earlier in the week, those of us in Houston were watching a Category 5 Hurricane - Rita, charging directly across the Gulf of Mexico toward Texas. I had all of my antennas down in anticipation of the eventual landfall, and working this QRP event, was long forgotten. You've seen the results of this QRO storm on the news. As Rita passed 100 miles to the east, it shook dead wood out of my trees, but that's about all it did to SW Houston. I managed to get all of my antennas from 40M through 13cm back in the air on Sunday - just in time for the Sprint! de Andy, Houston, TX ----------- AL7FS/W0: Rig: Elecraft K2, at 5W. I was operating from QTH of my Mom, KØJGL, Jeanette, in Atlantic, Iowa. Antenna was an 80/40 inverted V up 30 feet in the middle and draped over the trees. 73, Jim, AL7FS ----------- KN1H: Homebrew 6-band VXO TX @ 900mw output Homebrew 7-band superhet receiver 380' end-fed wire Its always a treat to dust off the homebrew stuff and work some old friends. Regards, John, Charlestown, NH ------------ W5ESE: Rig used was a Ten-Tec TKIT 1320 at 3 Watts, and a 300' Horizontal Loop. I was still pooped from the Texas QSO Party. Thanks for sponsoring the sprint, and look forward to the spring sprint. 72, Scott, Dripping Springs, TX ----------- WA2BQI: Rig: ICOM707 - Power Supply 4 Amps. Power out 5 Wts. Ant: 40m Dipole - MFJ Tuner Very nice QSO! Very poor band condx make it hard to make points! Hope condx are better next party! 72, Bud, Jamestown, NY ----------- W1PID: Rig: DSW-40 2 watts Ant. Windom OCF dipole Thanks so much for doing this! de Jim, Sanbornton, NH ---------- WQ2RP: (NJ QRP Club Station, N2CQ opr) The rig here is the K1-4 at 5 watts on 20m and 40m and a Kenwood TS-850sat for 80m. The antenna is a random end fed wire (40m-80m) and TA33jr tribander (20m). Thanks for the entries and the QSOs from those who just had fun. Hope to hear you again next Spring Sprint! 72 de Ken, Woodbury, NJ ----------- _______________________________________________ Elecraft mailing list Post to: [hidden email] You must be a subscriber to post to the list.
