Hi Larry! I’m glad you received your
certificate. I was on 20m and 40m psk31. We had so many polar bears up at
Pulpit Rock that I never got the chance to operate on cw! K5PAX won the Polar Bear Claw. I worked
him on 20m psk31. I had a ball on psk31 and the other Polar Bears had great fun
too. After the event, we all went to a local watering hole and eat and drank
some beer –hi! We Polar Bears get hungry up there. I hiked up the
mountain with Ron, WB3AAL, but my pack weighted way to
much for me. My pack weighted in at around 50lbs! I don’t like it go over 30lbs. So guys, if you didn’t hear me on
cw, try me the next Polar Bear Event as I will operate cw. The weather was just gorgeous blue skies
and 68’ then the sun set and the temp dropped into the 50s. I took my hiking buddy Trevor this time as he went nuts when he saw my backpack. I
took his dog jacket along and he used as the sun set. The Polar Bears operated
on 20&40 PSK31, 40cw, 20cw, 30cw, 75ssb, 2m, 6m. We tried to work all who
called us, but I know we missed many. So look for us in December and once again
the first to work WA3WSJ will receive a “museum quality” polar bear
claw replica with your call engraved into it! Look for the picture of it on the Polar
Bear Page soon. Yes larry send
the plaque to me WA3WSJ and we will use it for a Polar Bear Event etc. Thanks a
bunch for the help! 72, -----Original Message----- Ed yes thank you very nice
the xyl fell in love with it.I just got back in from tonights event I never
heard you 20 I think was too long and 40 was a mess with the ssb and tty in
there. But I enjoyed the walk anyway. Ed, I still have that small plaque
3x5 it is a relief in brass foil on mahogany. Mother and cub. That I made for
the Polar Bears should I send it to you or Ron? It is still 56F but very
windy... My Lap Top battery lasted almost 3hours tonight. I carried my
jumpstart battery pack it is very heavy for hiking but has lots of power and
will generally out last me. 72 Larry SPONSORED
