I am looking for a tuning knob for a K2 SN 5630
If I recall there were two different sizes of shafts, this would be the second (maybe current) size. This is SN -73- Frank KG9H [hidden email] ______________________________________________________________ Elecraft mailing list Home: http://mailman.qth.net/mailman/listinfo/elecraft Help: http://mailman.qth.net/mmfaq.htm Post: mailto:[hidden email] This list hosted by: http://www.qsl.net Please help support this email list: http://www.qsl.net/donate.html Message delivered to [hidden email] |
Frank,
Do you have the new encoder? I don't know which SN they were started. That is the key to which knob you need. If the knob is off, lift the fiber washers and check to see if there is a green tab in the hole to the right of the encoder shaft. If the hole is empty, you have the new encoder. Order the new knob from Elecraft - they no longer have the older knob. With the new knob, you need 3 fiber washers stacked. 73, Don W3FPR On 4/25/2021 9:00 AM, Frank Krozel wrote: > I am looking for a tuning knob for a K2 SN 5630 > If I recall there were two different sizes of shafts, this would be the second (maybe current) size. > > This is SN > -73- Frank KG9H > [hidden email] > > > > > ______________________________________________________________ > Elecraft mailing list > Home: http://mailman.qth.net/mailman/listinfo/elecraft > Help: http://mailman.qth.net/mmfaq.htm > Post: mailto:[hidden email] > > This list hosted by: http://www.qsl.net > Please help support this email list: http://www.qsl.net/donate.html > Message delivered to [hidden email] ______________________________________________________________ Elecraft mailing list Home: http://mailman.qth.net/mailman/listinfo/elecraft Help: http://mailman.qth.net/mmfaq.htm Post: mailto:[hidden email] This list hosted by: http://www.qsl.net Please help support this email list: http://www.qsl.net/donate.html Message delivered to [hidden email] |
Thanks Don, will check today.
I also need to figure out which K2 need those small 3/8”x3/8” rubber spacers in-between the PC boards without taking the front panel off. -73- Frank KG9H [hidden email] > On Apr 25, 2021, at 9:27 AM, Don Wilhelm <[hidden email]> wrote: > > Frank, > > Do you have the new encoder? Frank,
Just take the top cover off and look between the upper 2D connectors and the Front Panel board. 73, Don W3FPR On 4/25/2021 10:34 AM, Frank Krozel wrote: > Thanks Don, will check today. > > I also need to figure out which K2 need those small 3/8”x3/8” rubber > spacers in-between the PC boards without taking the front panel off. > > -73- Frank KG9H > [hidden email] <mailto:[hidden email]> > > > > ______________________________________________________________ Elecraft mailing list Home: http://mailman.qth.net/mailman/listinfo/elecraft Help: http://mailman.qth.net/mmfaq.htm Post: mailto:[hidden email] This list hosted by: http://www.qsl.net Please help support this email list: http://www.qsl.net/donate.html Message delivered to [hidden email] |
