Hi all,
I have a new release of KX3 firmware that needs to be tested quickly
so we can get it into production. I'm looking for motivated operators
who can get on the air tonight or tomorrow morning to make sure
everything is working.
The most important change is an improvement in voice-mode carrier
suppression. The carrier is suppressed by well over 60 dB normally,
but under certain conditions it can rise. We made a minor algorithmic
change to clean this up.
This release also fixes a bug in the "CWT" (CW tuning indicator) that
was introduced in a recent version. If you have APF turned on, *and*
you're using a very narrow CW bandwidth (100 or 50 Hz), the CWT
indicator may stop tracking CW signals.
