I'm reading descriptions of the "hollow" and "echoey" sound of the KX3
monitor audio when running any compression. This isn't new in
firmware version 1.50. It's sounded like this on my KX3 from the
beginning - I have serial # 2511. It's just the way the monitored
audio sounds on the KX3 with the compression turned on, but off air
recordings sound just fine and reports are excellent too. I'm
wondering now whether, prior to this most recent update, folks have
ever listened with headphones to the "MON" audio coming from their
KX3's? Turning the compression on has always resulted in that
strange quality to the "MON" audio.
