New(?) APF feature description

I only pay attention to the Elecraft reflector intermittently but have noticed
lots of postings about APF lately.  Is this described anywhere on the Elecraft
web site?  I put APF in their search box and nothing comes back.

Thanks, Gary.  Finding Wayne's 24-October "APF Progress report" made ALL the
difference.  From the other traffic I thought I had missed some new "general
release" feature.

  Barry,

For right now, you will only find it mentioned on this reflector.  It is
a very recent implementation and at this point there are a few details
that are being worked out.  You should consider it as being in "alpha
test" at the moment.  In addition to the regular Firmware Field Test
team, it was given to several others at their request, and their
observations is what all the fuss is about.

 From my impression if the positive acceptance, you are likely to see a
beta version of the firmware with this feature sometime this week - but
then I do not hold the release cards, that is up to Wayne and Eric.
