Clark,
One of the first things to check when there is a blank display is the
soldering of Pin 1 of U1 on the Front Panel Board. Unfortunately, pin 1 is
located beneath the LCD display module and cannot be soldered from the
bottom with the LCD in place - do not remove the LCD, there is another way.
If pin is not soldered, cut off the corner of the U1 socket and solder the
connection from the top.
As for future, be careful of the 'Pin 1' soldering problem. Pin 1 on most
Of the K2 board is designated with a round pad while the others are
rectangular - it is easy to miss the solder connection to pin 1 (I won't
tell how I know that <G>).
If you have pin 1 of U1 soldered FB and you still have no display, ask again
and we will try to help.
