New K3 front panel changes

Steve Jackson-5
I am curious as to why the volume control was moved from the traditional / conventional 'lower row' to the 'next row up' position.

Hi Steve,

When a mic is plugged into the front panel mic jack (there's one on the
rear panel, too), it can interfere more with the bottom dual-concentric
knob than the upper. AF GAIN is used far more often, on average, so it
deserves the less-impacted panel position.

Headphone plugs are skinnier, and can even be obtained in a right-angle
style, so they remain out of the way. (Of course you can plug your
headphones into the rear panel, too.)

We back and forth on this a few times, but on balance it's easier in
the new location.
