We have just posted new V1.11 firmware for the KPA500 to the web. See:

Hi Eric et. al.,
I wonder if it would be possible to have the INHIBIT# enable/disable be on a per-band basis for the KPA500. That way one could use DIGOUT1 to disable the amp on a band, say 17m or some band where the antenna SWR is too high, and to allow it to be enabled on 6m when DIGOUT1 is used to turn on the PR6. One downside of this that I can see is that if DIGOUT1 is used to disable the amp on 17m it would also turn on the PR6 so a receive antenna wouldn't be able to be used on that band. 73, Fred Fred Cady fcady at ieee dot org "The Elecraft K3: Design, Configuration, and Operation" www.ke7x.com > -----Original Message----- > From: [hidden email] [mailto:elecraft- > [hidden email]] On Behalf Of Eric Swartz WA6HHQ - Elecraft > Sent: Thursday, September 01, 2011 11:45 AM > To: [hidden email] > Subject: [Elecraft] New KPA500 1.11 f/w Released > > We have just posted new V1.11 firmware for the KPA500 to the web. Fred,
I have a similar issue in wanting to enable INHIBIT with transverters. I did that by using the BAND0 line to control a relay (K1) which connects the Inhibit line when I want it. Now I am going to add 6m and have decided to use DIGOUT1 to handle enabling 6m. I will join BAND0 and DIGOUT1 by the use of two steering diodes to isolate from each other but either can drive the relay (via an NPN transistor). Here is the diagram (it has extra circuitry for a FT-847 which you should ignore): http://www.kl7uw.com/TX-INHIBIT.htm You may be able to find a source of 13v or 5v from the K3. IN your case you would use BAND3 and BAND1 summed to drive the relay instead of DIGOUT1. 73, Ed - KL7uW ------------------------------ Message: 7 Date: Thu, 1 Sep 2011 14:04:30 -0600 From: "Cady, Fred" <[hidden email]> Subject: Re: [Elecraft] New KPA500 1.11 f/w Released To: "Eric Swartz WA6HHQ - Elecraft" <[hidden email]>, <[hidden email]> Message-ID: <[hidden email]> Content-Type: text/plain; charset="us-ascii" Hi Eric et. al., I wonder if it would be possible to have the INHIBIT# enable/disable be on a per-band basis for the KPA500.
