New build - All Ok until 1st test stage

Hi,

I'm building a K2 from a kit I inherited . I've got as far as putting the FR, Control and Front Panel together and first switch on.  All the relays clicked and 201 appeared on the screen but instead of showing 7.100 as a frequency I got 1.06F 2.55 then a garbled selection of figures  151 1 51, some with downward arrows

I intend to disconnect/ reconnect the three boards and see if this sorts it, but is this a known issue with cause and solution ?
