OT; A question

Richard Fjeld
Decades ago, I remember seeing advertisements about a steel I-beam type rail  that bolted vertically to the side of a utility pole.  There was a trolley type device that was winched up and down the beam by a pulley at the top of the beam.  The trolley had provisions for mounting a rotor, or other stuff.

I would like to know more about that unit, and if they are still sold.  If you have information, or have seen one, please tell me about it.

Thanks,
Rich, [hidden email]

OT; A question about a track for a utility pole.

Richard Fjeld
I'm posting this to the reflector for all to see who responded both on and off.

First of all, thanks.  I am familiar with the Hazer which is for straight, not reduction sized, towers.  Usually, they are for the aluminum towers which were never to be guyed.  They are a good idea.

No, this was for wooden utility poles.  Preferably, it would be rigged with the hardware before the pole is set into the ground to avoid the need for working in the air.  I can build one, but I would like ideas ahead of time. Hardware for an overhead trolley for hoists can possibly be used.  (A winch near the bottom is assumed.)

Rich, n0ce
