Another -very- significant factor in the continuing use of AM for aircraft
communications is it's universal use world wide. It's considered too expensive and impractical to abandon on a worldwide basis. Right on Ken! It's great to live in a country where the newest is right
there to buy, but much of the world isn't anywhere near that. Don't rule out the old stuff, it worked then, some of it works now. 73, Fred K6DGW - Northern California Contest Club - CU in the 2013 Cal QSO Party 5-6 Oct 2013 - www.cqp.org On 1/29/2013 7:49 PM, Ken G Kopp wrote: > Another -very- significant factor in the continuing use of AM for aircraft > communications is it's universal use world wide.
