OT: Am for aircraft communications

Ken G Kopp
Another -very- significant factor in the continuing use of AM for aircraft
communications is it's universal use world wide.  It's considered too
expensive and impractical to abandon on a worldwide basis.  Actually,
I feel this is of more importance than the "blending" asset.

Right on Ken!  It's great to live in a country where the newest is right
there to buy, but much of the world isn't anywhere near that.  Don't
rule out the old stuff, it worked then, some of it works now.
