The Irish allegedly invented the bagpipe (Uilleann) and introduced it to the
Scots. The Scots never got the joke. ;) 73, Gil NN4CW _______________________________________________ Elecraft mailing list Post to: [hidden email] You must be a subscriber to post to the list. Please read -
In an effort to reduce the overload of off topic comments hitting the list, please refrain from the urge to post minor 'me too' or 'I disagree' comments, or any criticisims or discussions on the appropriatness of a posting. If someone complains about the shipping date, features, bagpipes etc., please resist the urge to comment or criticize them. Personal criticisms may result in removal from the list. Please take any arguments or criticisims of the tone or appropriateness of another's posting -off- list immediately. These comments are significantly raising the noise level. :-) If possible, please keep postings brief and to the point, non-argumentative, and please resist the urge to reply to every posting. ;-) 73, Eric WA6HHQ Elecraft List Moderator Fred Jensen wrote: > chris gresswell wrote: >> the mans got no tast bagpipes played well are the best > > Pipes can be played *well*? > > 73, > > Fred K6DGW > - Northern California Contest Club > - CU in the 2007 CQP Oct 6-7 > - www.cqp.org > _______________________________________________ > Elecraft mailing list > Post to: [hidden email] > You must be a subscriber to post to the list. > Subscriber Info (Addr. I've heard that bagpipes can be played smartly. Well, I suppose all things
are relative<grin>. As the new proud owner of a K2, and wishing to take it with me on my travels
from time-to-time, I am wondering if anyone makes a protection kit for it similar to the one available for the SG-2020? The cabinet is very sturdy I'm sure, but the front panel knobs etc are vulnerable. I'd be grateful for any advice. There's always a camera case and diced foam of course! Thanks and 73 Stephen G4SJP _______________________________________________ Elecraft mailing list Post to: [hidden email] You must be a subscriber to post to the list. Subscriber Info (Addr. Hi Stephen,
This was my solution. http://www.pituch.net/p/Steve's%20Page/Radio/equipment%20frames/frames.html It got a picture of my K2 #402 (along with my wife) into the April '07 QST (and I also received a QST cover plaque award for it!). It is big but it can include power supply, modems, amp or tuner, or can simply be made smaller. With the foam in the case it is very rugged.
