Jim - the common inplementation of "bandstack registers" means the transceiver has enough front panel keys to allow -single press- access to any band the user wants. That's what I simulate in ProCat Cool.
If the specific freqency desired (the last used) is not the one that comes up after one press, a second press will call up the next most recent used frequency on the band of interest.
That's "double" band stacking, a history of two.
"Triple bandstacking" would be a history of three last used frequencies on a given band, the fourth keypress would start at the top the the frequency list for the band of interest.
ProCat Cool allows from a single band stack to octal - hi.
