Fire up your K3s and make a few QSOs in the RTTY Contest! I just
worked Ed P49X for my first ever RTTY QSO using the simple directions below: http://www.elecraft.com/K3/k3_operating_tips.htm#RTTY%20operation%20without%20a%20computer This is the format for the exchange: US/VE stations send RST, Zone and QTH. All others send RST and Zone. For example: K7QQ: WW DE K7QQ K7QQ CQ P49X: DE P49X K7QQ: P49X 599 03 WA P49X: K7QQ 599 09 K7QQ: TU DE K7QQ CQ My sending timing is not perfect so I loaded my CW memories with M1: "W4ZV W4ZV IM" and M3: "599 05 NC IM". Don't forget the "IM" (run together) at the end of each transmission which shorten the changeover. 73, Bill W4ZV P.S. Ed W0YK is on 14125 and 21081 as P49X right now. _______________________________________________ Elecraft mailing list Post to: [hidden email] You must be a subscriber to post to the list.
