Just got done reading Icom's brochure on their RS-BA1 IP remote-control
software solution. It's impressive. In a nutshell, the RS-BA1 provides a
turn-key solution allowing IP control of a compatible radio via network or
internet. According to them, low voice latency makes using the rig remotely
quite easy. This brings me to my question - anything similar in the works
from Elecraft?
Something like this would be fantastic for me or anyone else in a similar
situation. I live in Manhattan where antenna options are severely limited.
I do however own another home in Florida, plus an additional 20 acres of
land there. Setting up a remote station that I can access from NYC would be
a dream come true.
I know there are ways of doing things remotely now with the K3, but nothing
quite as simple or streamlined as what Icom is offering.
