Happy New Year to the Elecraft Family!
My New Year would be even better if I could get a QSL address for 9J2A. I worked this station QRP on my K2 during last month's big contest. This was a 'biggie' for me at nearly 8000 miles on 5 watts and a doublet in my attic so I really want a card. QRZ.com said to QSL via JA0JHA. I did so and put five big ones in the envelope, etc. Got my card back with a nice note telling me he has not operated as 9J2A since 1999-2000. Didn't get the five back.... I've been Googling to no avail. Hamlog.EU shows other contacts with 9J2A on 15 about the time I was there so it's definitely not broken call. It's apparently a contest station limited to 100 watts. I thought I'd run this up the flagpole on this reflector since we've got people from all over the world onine. Hope no one minds this OT post - I'm out of ideas. Perhaps someone else has some info?? 73, Stan Levandowski WB2LQF HF QRP CW -- Doing more with less for over 50 years! Thanks to all who replied with helpful info and links.
Evidence points to me having worked 9J3A. If I couldn't copy the call correctly then I don't deserve the QSL. Wouldn't feel right. There's always the next contest or DXpedition! Stan,
Brian 9J2BO is on (CW) quite often. Good luck, John Harper http://www.ae5x.com/blog If I couldn't copy the call correctly then I don't deserve the QSL. Wouldn't feel right.
