OT: Introduction to Ham Radio Talks at SF Bay Area Libraries

WD6DBM
I will be presenting "The Wide, Wide World of Amateur Radio" at the Santa Clara, CA, Library on June 11th, and at the Sunnyvale, CA library on June 19th.  7pm both nights.  I will have some ham radio equipment there for show and tell, grossly over-represented, of course, by Elecraft.  If you have friends or family that are curious about amateur radio, please pass an invitation along.  This talk is aimed at people who know nothing whatsoever about amateur radio.  I will be following these talks up with a public demonstration behind the Santa Clara Library during Field Day, 11am to 2 or 3pm, on June 22nd, with a solar-powered station featuring my K2 or KX3 and magnetic loop antennas.

Thanks for the bandwidth.  This is my way of paying back those guys who set up tents across the street from my moms house in June, 1967, and explaining to 12-year-old me how ham radio worked.
