I have 7 LUXO Wave Illuminated Magnifiers that were used by Hewlett Packard. These are extremely nice for electronics work and cost $350 when new. They have rectangular heads with large and very clear magnifying lenses and fluorescent lights built into the head on either side of the lens. This allows side lighting (contrast and shadows) and shadowless lighting. The magnifiers are on articulating arms that connect to a table with a screw type clamp. Because the lights are fluorescent, they don't overheat your project (causing a temporary change in component values) Google on Luxo Wave and you will see the magnifiers. These lamps have the 3.5 diopter lens, which is ideal for bench work. The lamps are in good shape, although they are used and obviously not new. I plan to keep one or two for my own use, but am willing to sell the remaining units for $75 each, picked up in Alameda, CA or downtown San Francisco.
