OT-Noalox "grease"

Charly

As reported to me by W4YOK via a letter from the mfg, Ideal, who makes Noalox, the product that is used

to mate dis-similar metals, is not actually a conductor.  It does have vy small particles of metal in the

"grease" but those can not really be counted on the conduct, sez mfg.  Instead, it is made to retard

water and to "strip oxidation" automatically off aluminum.  Maybe that is why it works so well on

the joints of yagis telescopic or swaged elements.  I have used this kind of product for years on

antennas and --taken apart years later-- the stuff makes disassembly a snap.   73,

Charles Harpole
