I suspect that Eric and Wayne are not making 25,000
times the salary of any of the Elecraft employees. I
would also assume that they do not have golden
parachutes, stock option grants that could bankrupt
Elecraft, or even corporate jets and hide aways.
They may have an offshore account on NA-065 ;o)
Executive compensation for "talent" is all too
excessive in many cases in this country. Particularly
when it is tied to bogus "goals" and when you can walk
away from serious management mistakes with truly
obscene amounts of money/options. The teamwork that
help establish many US companies as the most respected
manufacturers in the world seems to be a thing of the
past.
What does it sound like when an empire crumbles?
No business can stand still, but selling large
quantities of cheap crap eventually hurts the bottom
line more than sticking with quality products.
Just my thoughts...
Cheers,
Julius
