[OT] Wireless charging -- bad news?

Something tells me this is bad news for hams.  I've read snippets in the daily newspaper about this technology.  I believe it uses HF.  Imagine a world full of cheap and unregulated transmitters spewing noise over the 40 meter band day and night.

Is anyone on top of this story?
