OT: logging software

RobertG
The recent NCJ reported that in the recent WRTC competition "Win-Test"
was the favorite logging software. Allowing for the fact that Win-Test
emphasizes EU contests and N1MM, for example, emphasizes NA contests, is
there anything basic to the Win-Test program that accounts for its
popularity? More generally, and I know that personal opinion is a big
factor in selecting contest software, is there any "central tendency"
here in NA as to the more popular contest logging software for Windows
machines? Thanks for opinions.

Only that its interface is a very close copy of CT where N1MM Logger
and Writelog although they provide more features, are more mature and
more reliable have unique operator interfaces.

The real driving force behind Win-Test is that it is European (French)
in design and support.  I suspect there is a large degree of "anything
other than American" in the popularity of Win-Test in Europe.
