OT: sorta- Sugru for potting and making custom "lumpy cables"

Doug Faunt N6TQS +1-510-655-8604
I want to make some custom cable sets for my KX3, K3, etc, etc.
I like the idea of potting connectors on cables (first did it repairing
Navy aircraft in the late 60's).
It looks as if sugru will do a good job of this, is readily available
and not particularly messy.
Have people here tried this?  Did it work well?
thanks, doug

Sugru has worked very well for me in a number of instances, the latest being in sealing (in effect, potting) a coax connection associated with my loop antenna. See k5td.com/Loop_Antenna.html for details.
