The short answer is NO!
The KFL1-4 has Low Pass filters that are shared by two bands. The lower
bands are 40 and 30 meters, and the normal low pass filter has a cutoff
frequency of about 11 MHz.
Yes, that LPF could be changed for a cutoff frequency of something like
5 or 6 MHz to attenuate the 2nd harmonic of the 80 meter band, but if
that is done, operation on 40 meters would not be possible using that
LPF. A combination of 80 and 60 meters would be possible, but not 80
and 40 meters because the LPF would not be able to attenuate the 2nd
harmonic of the 80 meter signal.
The best combination is to use the 4 band board for 40 and 30 as well as
20 and your choice of 17 or 15 meters. Then add the 2 band board for 80
and whichever band (17 or 15 meters) that you did not include on the 4
band board.
Changing the band boards is not a big deal unless the internal battery
option is installed. The only problem with the internal battery option
is that one cannot as easily grasp the band board to remove it compared
to the ease of removing it without the internal battery option. I must
admit that the difference is small, but something to consider.
