Also, if you've ever wondered about your handling
of surface mounted devices (SMD) the old synth boards are full of SMDs. With some desoldering wick you can remove devices and replace them without any worry of doing harm. Good practice. Say, does the new synthesizer have the same footprint as the old
synthesizer or is it an entirely different device? Maybe even from a different manufacturer? Well it uses the same socket and screw holes and fits both the K3 and K3s. Looks about the same size.
