While looking at a printed order form, one that had been printed over a year
ago, I am interested in the T1-K ATU (Kit).  The basic information states
it is a "miniature ATU for all rigs."  The same section of the order form
also lists an assembled ATU and a T1-FT817 Remote Control Adapter, "T1 to
FT-817 18", shielded cable for auto band switching from FT-817 to T1."  This
unit appears designed for one specific radio the FT-817.  Is there a
comparable unit, or modification to this unit, that will allow auto band
switching using radios from other manufacturers?

The main focus on the order form was, and still is, the K2 that will be
ordered with a few extra items.  The K2 would be the basic QRP model with
the SSB and KBT2 options.  The "extra" items would include a T1-K, DL1,
BL1,2T-gen, XG1, and consideration of the Buddipole antenna option.  The
total of the price then was, and still is, reasonable for what is to be
received.

i'm not aware of any bandswitching for any other rig but i found the t1 easy to remote and trigger retuning via a simple insertion of dc onto my coax feedline. that has let me place the t1 outside under an oak tree where my windowline drops down from the dipole midpoint.
