Well, I ordered my P3 last Thursday. I had previously returned my DSP
board for a repair, and called to try to have it returned with the P3
to save on shipping. The super guys at Elecraft repaired my DSP board,
and slipped it in the P3 box and shipped on Friday. I had it on the
air on Monday around 3:00. Customer Service like that can't be beat!
This yer at Field Day, I had the pleasure of working with a couple of
K3's and decided then and there I had to have one. I have great
respect for Kenwood, and thought a bit about the new, soon to be
released TS-590, but decided I didn't want a first run model. I don't
think I ever spoke to any K3 owner who didn't like his radio. I jumped
in and bought the base model. I have been upgrading it every few weeks
since and am having a great time with it. I have only one suggestion
to the boys at Elecraft. For those of us who buy the base model, and
are going to do a lot of upgrades, any chance of a 'Zipper' or Velcro
fastener on the top panel?
Ok, One more question, "Do we get any pretzels or peanuts with the Kool-Aid?"
