Lyle (KK7P) and Al (W6LX) recently mentioned some nifty things we can do with our P3s. I’ve written up a couple of things that I did with mine: http://web.me.com/wlmyers/K1GQ/Documents.html. Please feel free to provide feedback on the documents.

"It would be even more useful if there were a database of wideband RFI signatures" Perhaps with the wider use of panadapters such a database could be promoted. Something tells me that PLT would feature in there. David G3UNA Lyle (KK7P) and Al (W6LX) recently mentioned some nifty things we can do with our P3s. The noise signatures in Bill's link are very characteristic of switch-mode
noise. For example, take a look at the 80m NW sweep. Classic switch-mode noise where 'bumps" are seen at precise intervals of the power supply's switching frequency. At roughly -110 dBm, my guess is the source is not too far away, even with his directional antenna. A noise blanker does little good with low-level switch-mode noise.
