I just received a e-mail from Elecraft that my front panel has the holes for the push buttons punched to big,
and they are sending me a replacement panel. I would never noticed it as the the error is so small. I have equiptment in the shack that has a bigger gap than that. Now this is what I call real customer service, how many other mfg. would do this? I don't know if the crew at Elecraft ever sleep. they just keep improving there products with up grades, I can't wait to see just what they have hidden in the back room under development for next year. I wish a Very Merry Christmas & Happy New Year to all at Elecraft and I hope the next year for them is better than this one. This was based on a report from a customer. Nobody at the factory had
noticed it. So they ran over to check stores and found out that the vendor had shipped a batch of front panels with the wrong hole size. I wish I had got one. I could use the spare front panel for homebrew projects. :=) Alan N1AL On Thu, 2010-12-16 at 16:29 -0800, [hidden email] wrote: > I just received a e-mail from Elecraft that my front panel has the holes for the push buttons punched to big, > > and they are sending me a replacement panel. > > I would never noticed it as the the error is so small. My P2 has about 0.5mm clearance around the bottom buttons but about 1.5 mm on the right side. I thought it was on purpose.

On the bad front panels they are all the same (larger) size.
