I noticed that the MKR control with the knob on my P3 is very jumpy (i.e.
not smooth) so I decided to check my baud rate of all equipment connected. Currently, I am running the K3/P3 with LOGic 9, and a SteppIR control (connected with a "Y" cable). I checked baud rates for everything, at they are all set for 38,400. I even verified that the baud rate of the computer port is set the same. However, the control is still far from smooth. I also noticed that when the K3 is showing the baud rate in the CONFIG menu, it will show 4800 baud when I press the DISP button. I can't find anything in the manual to explain. Perhaps I am not setting the baud rate correctly? Allen R. Do you see the K3 VFO A frequency display on the P3? The SteppIR Y cable should go between the P3 and the computer. It theoretically should still work if it is on the K3 side, but it works better on the PC side and perhaps something isn't connected properly. Alan N1AL On 1/7/2013 6:47 PM, Allen R. I'll check the cable configuration next chance I get. Everything is working, except for these two anomolies:
1. MKR movement is "jumpy" and 2. In the CONFIG menu, it will show 4800 baud when I press the DISP button even while showing 38,400 when not pushed. What does that mean exactly?
