[P3] P3+Microham USB III - 13.8v connection

IZ2NYY
Hy to all, perhaps there's someone has already done this. I must wire the microham usbIII interface to my K3/P3. Now i have the P3 that take the 13.8v from the back of my K3 but also the interface has a cable to connect to that jack on the back of K3. Is it a particular reason to leave the P3 cable on the 13.8 conn on the back of K3 and wire the microham to a power supply or nothing particular???

how about making up a little relay box, power the relay (coil) from the K3 aux out and the other units from your PSU via the relay - then when you turn off the K3, the other units go off too. Don't forget a protection diode across the relay.
