P3 Phantom signal?

k1vt
I just noticed that when transmitting on QSK CW my signal appears weakly on  the
P3 display 800Hz higher than my actual transmitting frequency.  Is  this the
result of a spurious mixing product in the P3?  Has anyone else  noticed this
effect?

Thanks.

Re: P3 Phantom signal?

Alan Bloom
The P3 is supposed to freeze the display on transmit but under certain
conditions that doesn't happen so you see a little of the transmit
signal leaking through.  This bug is on the list.  The reason it is
off-center is because of crystal filter offsets in the K3.
