P3/SVGA

giuliano-8
I really like  the P3 main display so I don't need SVGA, but
I need only a keyboard required for digital modes.
So it is possible to have a cheap interface for digital modes without
the SVGA ? I think it's possible to do it under-equipping the current
SVGA card, of course it is necessary that  text has displayed on the
main display of  P3. Will it ever be this possibile?

I thought the same as you about not needing the SVGA, but I got one because of the digital modes.  Well, I was blown away by the extra detail of having a monitor.
The larger waterfall is a plus, as well.

And, there is much more room to have Tx and Rx windows.  I have been waiting for Paul to fix a minor bug that occasionally causes a character to be skipped when transmitting using the keyboard or memories.  He is working on it.

Hi Giuliano,

We have talked about providing text on the display of the P3 but it would only be for when an SVGA card is not present.  Using the SVGA with a keyboard and larger display is really a better way to take advantage of the data display feature.

Ok that a larger display is better, but I prefer a compact size for my
RIG (K3+P3).
Already Exists sofware to use digital modes on the P3 main display? From
your answer I'm not sure if this possibility
already exits ..... sorry but English is not very familiar to me.
