Why does my P3 do this?:
In LSB mode, whenever I go into TUNE for more than about six or seven seconds, upon hitting the XMIT button to come back out of TUNE the VFO A cursor has shifted into an incorrect position. (Instead of showing an LSB position below center frequency [in this particular case] it shifts slightly to the right to straddle the center frequency-- incorrect.) I can hit the A/B button twice to return the cursor to the correct position. I've noticed this in a number of firmware revs going back a couple of months. Can anybody duplicate this behavior? If it's a known bug, no response is needed. Thanks very much, Al W6LX ______________________________________________________________ Elecraft mailing list Home: http://mailman.qth.net/mailman/listinfo/elecraft Help: http://mailman.qth.net/mmfaq.htm Post: mailto:[hidden email] This list hosted by: http://www.qsl.net Please help support this email list: http://www.qsl.net/donate.html |
Al,
I get the same behaviour, I'd just never noticed it before. I'm running 4.22 on the K3 and 00.49 on the P3. 73 Stephen G4SJP On 10/01/2011 05:25, "Al Lorona" <[hidden email]> wrote: > >Why does my P3 do this?: > >In LSB mode, whenever I go into TUNE for more than about six or seven >seconds, >upon hitting the XMIT button to come back out of TUNE the VFO A cursor >has >shifted into an incorrect position. Elecraft is aware of this anomaly. My P3 does the same thing. This happens when the TUNE button is pushed on the K3. This cursor shift problem should be cured in a future firmware update. Roy Morris W4WFB
