P3 and KRX3

Hi Dave,
My wish list is the same too. If Elecraft offered the KRX3 hardware mode to
bring out the IF maybe they could do an exchange program like they have with
the DSP upgrade or at least a kit?

necessary upgrades to allow the P3 to work with the KRX3?  If so, any

a.  Hardware mod for the K3 to bring out the IF of the KRX3 with
suitable isolation from the main receiver.

b.  Software mod for the P3 to track the KRX3.

This seems like a no-brainer from an operating point of view ... operate
on one band using the main receiver while monitoring another band with
the KRX3/P3.

I doubt Elecraft would see enough demand to justify making this a production kit but N2QT has already described a mod (originally done by W3SZ) to add IF OUT to a KRX3:
