P3 and remote rig

Can I use the P3 at the remote end? (i.e. connected to my remote rig)?

How would you get the IF from the main to the remote?  I guess you
could digitize it and send it over a digital stream to the remote,
then turn it into IF / RF and feed that to the P3.  This sounds like
quite a project though.

VA2FSQ has a beta solution that uses a video card to digitize the P3
video output and stream that over the internet. I haven't tried it, but
am skeptical about performance/latency.
