P3

Phil LaMarche-2
Going to order a P3 to finish my K Line.  Any problem putting it on top of
the K3?  Space problem after  the KPA500.

Re: P3 location

Phil...

My P3 lives atop my K3/100 with no problems. To its left sits my
SignaLink USB. The K3 is very adequately ventilated through the
rear...the only down-side (and it is totally minimal) is that the SL
sits over the speaker grill. It does not block the sound.

I've tried left side, right side, and top for my P3s, and have settled
on top. To avoid interference with ventilation, it needs to sit to one
side, which leaves at least half of the top open.  That's important --
ventilation requires both a gozinta and gozouta, and the rear top grille
is part of that path.  I just finished a 10 hour RTTY contest, running
the K3s at 100w barefoot, and I never heard the fans speed up.
